Does anyone have any brand recommendations for an external pump (2400gph)? It's for a closed loop system. Thanks!

Reef Dart is a pretty good choice.
Reeflo has some decent external pumps - never had one completely fail on me.

Ok thanks! We actually have an older dart model. It works fine but we wanted to start fresh with this huge tank. We were told by someone that the darts are noisy and that there are some better, quieter brands out there, so I wanted to post on here to see what ppl say! Trying to so the proper research bf putting in water in our tank!!

My vote is a reeflo.
Probably one of the quietest on the market.
If you want to even further cut down on vibrations, add silicone to the bottom and let it dry. The silicone will dampen and almost completely silence any vibrations.
Sicce, red dragon,... They make decent pumps too. Little giant and iwaki also are pretty good.
If you want to make sure you get a good pump, spend the $$. Otherwise, reeflo is a good brand.
