Dwarf Feather Duster

I just purchased a dwarf feather duster. While the man at the LFS was bagging him he expelled from his tube, I acclimated him and put him in the tank. He won't stop moving around unless he is on the sandbed. Is there a way to make him stay on the rocks?

Not likely. You don't want to harm it. Its going to find a place it likes and make a new tube. That is of course considering that it's healthy and all is well with it. Some people try to bury them in the sand just to find them on the move again later. I'd leave it be and let it do its thing. It could take a while.

I hope it'll be okay... it'll be vulnerable to critters in the tank without it's tube. Most feather dusters prefer to be footed in the sand, unlike Christmas Tree dusters that prefer Porite...
