they are a fun fish. we get them late winter early spring. they are there year round they just spawn then and there easy to catch. they don't get as big down here as they do up there. they stay around 5 to 10 lbs. 15 lbs is a monster. but they put up a fight on a trout rod! the second week in june i'm going up to northern georgia to catch some of those mountain bass. do you guys get the hybrids up in main?

No . I know what ur talking about tho. 10lb stripers are fun tho. They do get bigger up north tho, 30lbs isn't that rare. Biggest I've seen was 44. Stripers and blues in the summer up there are phenomenal.
