Puffers- is it natural for them to not eat for days?

I have a green spotted puffer which i converted from Fresh to brakish to salt in about 2 years. however lately just these past few months it will just hang out by itself and not eat. belly is plump but it will not eat daily. when i do feed the puffer it gorges itself for a good 3-5 minutes it goes to town on the food.

my trigger will do the same thing however it eats twice a day and is just as active as the puffer. the puffer seems very calm and what not it shows no signs of stress.

just wondering if this is natural for puffers this is my first one and it is still pretty small

my gess is that it has become fully mature and dosent need to eat as much. green spot puffers are one of the smallest puffers out ther. so it has probaly stoped growing.
