I've had a flame angel, midas blenny, and firefish in QT for a few weeks now. I thought I was at 1.009 for a while, but yesterday I realized a bunch of ich spots on the flame angel. The spots are gone this morning. I checked again and the QT is more like 1.010-1.011. I was thinking of bringing the salinity up to 1.020 and adding some more fish since I'm going to have to extend the QT period on the existing fish. I would obviously increase the amount of water changes to the QT over the period of increased bioload. All of the fish in QT now eat well and aside from yesterday show no signs of infection or disease.
