Pros: Beautiful colors, Bold, doens't hide.
Cons: nips on star polyps when not fed enough

I was looking for a fish with vibrant colors, personality, less finicky fish that I didn't have to worry about feeding or about taking care of her. She holds her own with her personality in the midst of triggers and a wrasse, comes to you for food and not difficult to take care of.

Definitely recommend this to anyone who wants a dwarf angel.

Pros: most noticed fish in my tank by visitors
Cons: no cons

I have had this fish for several months now and it is thriving.  The only issue I have is providing enough algae to keep it busy otherwise it paces back and forth looking hungry.

Pros: Beautiful fish

The flame angel is a beautiful fish.  I have had mine for 2 years now, and have never had any issues with it nipping at corals.  I also have a Coral Beauty with it.  BUT These are in a 225G tank, I do not recommend housing the 2 angels together is a smaller tank.  Feed them a variety of foods that contain algae, and also feed it meaty foods.  Algae sheets are also a necessity, and a variety of red, green and brown algae sheets are recommended.  They should only be placed in an established tank since they will graze on live rock almost constantly.

Pros: Fairly hardy for an angel, beautiful, generally peaceful
Cons: Might possibly nip coral; however it is on of the better behaved dwarfs available, aggressive with its own kind if not given plenty of space.

Really beautiful fish which grazes constantly on the live rock. Mine has never bothered any of the coral in the tank which he is housed. I would be leary of putting one in a tank that hasn't had ample time to develop the necessary food sources on the live rock as this is where angels spend alot of their time. Also supplementing algae is a must for any angel. Overall its a great fish with a great personality. The tank is a peaceful community reef and he has never displayed any aggression whatsoever towards any of livestock in the tank. I also have a potters angel in the same tank and they get along well. The tank is 125 gallon so they each have plenty of space. I wouldn't recommend mixing angels unless the tank size is plenty large enough. I would recommend this fish if you have the means and equipment to care for it as it is definitely a conversation piece and something anyone would enjoy watching.
