I did a search and I found some good information but I'd like to hear any advice there is.

I want to grow rotifers for feeding my gorgonian.

I read that they do best at lower salinity/specific gravity 1.017 but I was curious if they could be raised at higher specific gravity to match my reef tank (1.025) or if this really matters since I expect the rotifers to be eaten anyways.

What are the pros and cons of using dead phytoplankton verses raising your own? One source suggested that raising your own would be cheaper.

As far as bubbles, I imagine I would need a air pump and tubing or is there a better way?

Lastly, I heard that you can store the rotifers in the fridge in case the culture fails, is this true and how long can they survive in the fridge.
