new fuge ***pics***

yesterday,
I picked up a CPR HOB fuge,
it was from an established tank,
and I picked it up with just enough water taken out to keep it from spilling

I need to move my tank out from the wall about an inch to get it on the back

so it's on the front of my tank for the time being
but at least it's up and running.

the life in it is what it came with.
I'm not really sure what it is loaded with
if it's all good, or if I should clean it out and start new.

thanks for looking

Russ

Looks good. I don't think I would disturb anything. I wonder about the Caulerpa though. Don't want any of that in the tank. Nice to see some other opinions on the Caulerpa.

the problem with Caulerpa is it goes sexual very easily... when it does it drops spores that flow into your tank and then your entire tank is covered in it. it will also root into rocks and at that point its impossible to totally remove.

i borrowed this image from scopustang in reefkprz's caulerpa thread... this is a disaster! The whole thread is located at http://www.saltwaterfish.com/vb/showthread.php?t=321301

long story short, remove the caulerpa and replace with cheato.

just looking thru my old threads,

I've still got the fuge,

that feather Caulerpa got drowned out by the Chaeto when I neglected to trim it for a couple months.

since last posting on here,

I've donated Chaeto to many many tanks

moved the tank from one room to another (Currently considering moving it again  (maybe upgrading to a 90g while I'm at it))

had and lost a few fish.

the fuge is still on and running,

altho,  I dont feel I have a real need for it.

considering selling it off

(I wish it would fit on my sump/inside the cabnet)

maybe I'll get some new pics this weekend

thanks,

no,  I won't make it out.

no time.

and I'm looking at upgrading to a 90g (from my 75)

and moving the tank from the dining room to the living room

so I'm not really looking to add anything to the tank right now.
