where i work i have access to glass that goes into doors. it's double paned and some of it has that argon gas in between. it's tempered of course. could this be used to build a tank?

I would think its probibly not the best choice for a fish tank. You would have to hide all the corners to cover the ends of the glass. Plus I think you would have some crazy reflections with the double pains.

Not to mention the fact that the glass itself is probably too thin to use for a tank.
