Leopard Sharks? What to do? HELP HELP HELP

Hi. Its been a while since I've visited swf.com. But I have an uncle that has recently had a thing for fish. I set up a freshwater fish tank for him. He's been fishing in Los Angeles with his brother in law and he caught three Leopard Sharks about 11inches each.

He brought them all the way to his house, over a six hour drive. and also brought about 20 gallons of water from the area which he caught the sharks. Right now he has them in a 50 gallon tank with about 10 inches of water. He has an external filter and a powerhead circulating his water.

First he wanted to have those sharks housed in my aquarium but I really didn't want to and said that I'll see. But he put them in his own tank.

What should I do? What should I tell him. I know he won't do anything else but keep all three sharks.

He can also get a 300 gallon tank from his brother in law.

they need to be put back in the wild. ive read here on swf.com that even the smallest sharks need 1000+ gallons. if they are 12" now, theyd barely have room to turn around in my 125, much less a 50g. plus they WILL grow, and WILL end up a few feets long, IF they survive.

1 would make it for a while in a 300 but I dont know how long 3 would make it or even how big thes sharks get I know some say shark tanks need to be 300+ I'm sure eventually they will need 1000+

wikipedia says that leopard sharks are born around 9 inches long. and the average leopard is between 50-60 inches, but can grow to be up to 7 feet. it also says they prefer to stay in depths of 10-250 feet

So even if they do not reach full length they prefer deeper waters. PLEASE tell your uncle to release them where he got them from.
