I think I would probably agree with Glenn Beck on alot of issues, but I can't watch or listen to him. He is the epidamy of hyperboly-like a right wing Keith Olberman. Is Obama's politics shoving us to the left and socialism? Yes, but that's what he said he'd do and the majority voted for it. I just don't think his hysterical, "the sky is falling" schtick is bearable.At least Rush (who I listen to 1 or 2 times a month) keeps the dialoge down to a moderate diatribe. Beck is the poster child for Chicken Little syndrom.

Glynn Beck, I'm sure has some kind of emotional issues. My comment has nothing to do with his political slant. He seems to always be teetering on the edge of a breakdown, and his radio show feels like that as well. I can't listen to him. Frequently, I can't even follow what he is talking about, though, as mantisman said above, I may actually agree with whatever he is saying from time to time. The delivery system, however, is riddled with intense over emotionalism and exaggeration.

Obama is a very social minded individual. He made no effort to hide this during the long campaigning process and, now, he is putting this into action because he has been elected, and he can do it. The majority of Americans support him. Now that could change on a dime, but the majority do back the direction he is going with the county.

I think it would be best, if you want to talk politics, to find something new and fresh to talk about, because this topic has been beaten to death, in my view. Few are outraged by the "socialist" card, and I don't think that most Americans think that Obama is another Stalin.

Couldn't disagree more as far as you saying this is what Obama said he would do. He campaigned as an anti-war centrist with a few tidbits for the left.

As much as I hate socialism (BECAUSE IT DOESN'T WORK!) I really can't stand listening to hannity anymore as well... he's a broken record that beats the dead horse to life and kills it again.

I disagree, I saw Obama taking deliberate action to hide his most left leaning views and principles throughout the campaign. He downplayed his relationship to his marxist college professors and anti-Americans like Wright and Ayers, he danced around issues and did a lot of damage control when Joe the Plumber spoke up.

I think I can speak safely for a few of the conseratives on this board when I say that what we fear is that a deeply rutted hatred of Bush has manifested itself in a populist view to be the "anti-Bush," whilst neglecting to understand what that really carries in consequence. In other words, far too many have the logic in their head that since Bush was "so terrible," being the opposite "must be the right choice." Of course when you combine that with the sense of entitlement and lack of personal accountability that is running rampant in this country, it causes people to ignore the potential consequences in favor of what seems like the easy answer. .

I still feel that many of the people who "support" Obama only do so because not doing so is not hip, cool, or socially correct (read: racism/hate speech/blah blah). They throw their support behind him to maintain status quo, and it's going to lead us right down an unsustainable path that nobody wants to look at in the long haul... socialism.

You know, as smart as Hannity is and as intelligent of an argument that he could make... he doesn.t You're right. He cuts everyone off who disagrees with him whether they are making an intelligent, lucid point or otherwise, and he does underhanded media tricks on one hand (such as editing sound bites to displace context) while decreeing those who do the same with the other.

The only callers who get air time are the ones who pucker up with lines like "Hello Sean, you're a great American."

He is a hypocrite who does conservatives no real good.

Now this is a good thread, talk show hosts who we can't stand. May I add Rachel Madcow of MSNBC? She has Hillary's screech perfected.

Hannity does way better in a debate format, I have never been a fan of his radio show and maybe watched the TV show once since Colmes moved on.

I used to really like his radio show... but now it's an hour of whos a great american when someone calls in and bash O'bama on absolutely anything without listening to the "liberal" caller... and I'm not even an Obama fan.

I think we'd be a lot better if both sides found out we're on the same team

It's funny as hell to watch Joe Scarboro in the mornings, they have a twit on the show who's key function seems to be to pull joe back into line when he drifts off message.

Both those turkeys are morons. But then again, people who vote liberal are morons maybe their ridiculous arguments will work on the thinking impaired.
If you can handle his sense of humor and sarcasm. (It is right up my alley) Rush is a brilliant speaker. Well thought out. Even if you don't agree with him politically, you have to appreciate a great argument.

"Multiculturalism" as defined by the left is ruining our country. American culture is a product of many different cultures and traditions, we are multi ethnic, probably more so than any other country on the planet. But when all is said and done we were always Americans first. This garbage of claiming to be a ______-American is a load. It sets us up to be divided.

What is ironic to me about this story is how whenever "free speech" in the past seemed to be compromised, it was left wing groups such as the ACLU that came running out, screaming "FIRST AMENDMENT!!!!"

Yet they seem to see the silencing of a miniority group, who peacefully and respecfully assembled, as virtuous.

The left is all for free speech... as long as it's something they agree with.

Ironic. That... and how nowadays the words "racism" or "hate speech" can be used as a universal trump card to shut up anybody who says anything that anyone doesn't like.
