Thanks!

Yeah, it's basically a girl's bedroom, but it makes my wife happy and (shhhh!!) I like it too.  laughing.gif

Meowzer, I liked that accella pump so much, I go a new one.  I can live without a sponge, but the pump that came with the chiller didn't have a strainer for the intake or a mounting bracket.  I loved the solid construction of the pump itself, though, and the nice ceramic impeller shaft, so I just bought a new accella so I could scavenge parts and keep the new pump body as a backup.  THis way I don't have to tear down the back of the tank, either...I just added a few new parts and bam! done.  I also used a ziptie to secure the hose to the pump, so hopefully no mishaps (the pump is, after all, pointing UP).  bigg.gif

OK my friends, I'll try and get some new shots of the tank this weekend.  I was originally thinking of going out of town until my dentist today informed me that a molar HAD to be extracted.  :-(  Now I'm sitting here with one less tooth in my head, my cheek swollen up like a chipmunk, and I think I'm a little zoned from the vicodin.  So no goin' anywheres for me this weekend.

Oh, and Good Shabbos!!  thumbsup.gif

Oh man...I have a toothache, I got the tooth filled in the beginning of the month but it still hurts, so it may have to go. I have put off going to the dentist, my next appointment is the 7th of Feb......I have been taking two, 800mg Ibuprofen with one Xtra strength Excedrin 2Xs a day to make it.

We had a big snow storm and the Synagogue has no service this weekend at all....I'm waiting for that FTS.

Shabbat Shalom!

Oh, I had no idea you were so cruel...LOL ......I take it you never had a toothache...even breathing hurts. Once the tooth is removed at least you know the hurt is on the mend, but it doesn't feel like it.

oh... ive never really had a bad one.. the day I had all 4 of my wisdom teeth removed (put under as they were ALL impacted) we went house hunting and bought a house, lol

Eh, it all depends on the tooth and the person.  I had my wisdom teeth taken out the same way, and I was up and around later that afternoon also.

...my faces swelled up like a balloon the day after IIRC though.

This one wasn't so bad.  Couple doses of vicodin, a few hours of sleep, and I was good to go.

Feelt uninspired this weekend...this was the only picture worth sharing.  Yes, I did get a water change and filter change done, so there's that chore finished for the week.  I

m having some problems with my acan colonies....seems like a lot of tissue recession around the base of the red Acan.  I'm going to try a furan dip (read about it online for acans...) to see if that helps.

I'm convinced your mandy thinks it's a seahorse.

Awwww but it looks like a great picture! atleast you got some stuff done.. hopefully you'll feel better this week!

Well, I'd better update the thread..it's been almost a month!

Not much is happening.  Water changes, feedings, and the like.  I'm set for a big WC tomorrow, partly because I need to shift the aquarium 12 inches to the left.  I'm moving the chiller out from the side box...the space is just too tight, and it always finds SOMETHING to vibrate against when it turns on.  I'll put it by itself on the right side with a faux wooden "screen" to keep it out of sight.

I finally found some C. prolifera at my LFS this week, so I got a small handful of it to add.  This stuff is rarer than gold down here for some reason.  I don't really want a lot of it in this tank, but I will be transplanting it when I finally set up the 20g pipe tank.  Might as well get it while the gettin's good.  I know it won't be a "small" handful for long, either.

Thanks to the suggestions of our dear Flower, I've gotten in the market for a Rainford's goby for this tank.  I have a very small amount of hair algae that crops up on the gorgonian, and I'd like a fish that's a little more active and "out there"....but not anything that's a big organic impact.  My main LFS didn't have any today, but one of my backup stores does so I'll be visiting tomorrow AM.  Not sure how badly I want this fish....All Fish Emporium is sort of the Wal Mart of fish stores.

Pictures to come tomorrow....I'll do a before and after on the water change.

shrug.gif If I knew you wanted some...I have plenty I could share, I had no idea you were having trouble finding it. By the time you have your pipe tank set up ...I will need to harvest big time. I know I started a who needs macro algae thread, and I know I offered both red and the seagrass looking stuff (Caulerpa prolifera) to you. I got a pint of it for $8.00...what did you pay?

LOL  Flower by the time I have the pipe tank set up for pipes, your tank would probably be overrun with a jungle of macros!  I'm not planning on calling the 20g tank a "pipefish setup" for a good long while.  (It's currently my QT, BTW.)  I thought you were just selling the red stuff, which I actually don't want....the seahorse tank is mainly a coral dominated tank, so I don't want things cropping up every which way.  Caulerpa I can control.  I'm not sure I can handle that encrusting stuff for this particular tank.  Oh, and I paid 6 bucks for a pint, so about the same.

Sorry for the delay in posting; my other hobby forum was taking up time.  Seems there's a huge argument in the Sci Fi model makers world between the "painters" and the "decal" folks.  Names and feces are being flung, arguments and flame wars started, and I'm over there just stirrin' the pot and smilin'.  rolleyes.gif  Geek fights are SO much fun to read......

Picture time!

Tank post-water change.  Sorry, I didn't get a pre-water change..but honestly there's no discernable difference.  Didn't need to vac the sand this week.  You can see I moved the tank over a foot as well.

IMAG0913.jpg

My new "QT" set up.  No, you usually don't see rock and sand in a QT..or a HOB fuge/skimmer, either.  rolleyes.gif

IMAG0909.jpg

The Aquatraders HOB Fuge.  Got it off of Ebay, and it included a decent pump with a ceramic shaft and bubble-wheel impeller.  Curious to see how it works.  I'm putting some of that above mentioned C. prolifera in here.

IMAG0912.jpg

And finally, the new arrival.

LOL  I'll try for a better pic when he gets more sociable.

LOL...I'm not "selling" anything...I am giving the harvested macros away, for free ....just repay the price to ship it. I got the heat pads, so now for the time and cash to send it out. How was your macros shipped to you? I want to do the same when shipping mine out...but I'm not so sure I remember. I don't think it was packed as good as a coral was....but I want to be sure it's alive for whoever wants it.

I know you said you didn't want the red macros, but I also made it clear (I thought anyway) that I would have the prolifera soon to be harvested as well. It isn't like it cost so much...just that you had a hard time finding it.

Hehehe, no worries!  Sorry I misunderstood!  I picked it up locally, so it was "packed" like anything else from the LFS...plastic bag, rubberbanded shut, with O2.

I've tried ordering macros before.  Never had much luck with it being shipped, although I have no idea why.
