is it ok to use distilled water to top off saltwater reef tank

Been using it for 3 years now. Not had a problem.

Damn I should start filling up my jugs at school then! They have an endless supply of it in my labs. But then again I dont know how sterile it could be

thanks for the info i con get ro water but it is more $ and about a hour drive but can get distilled in 5min at walmart
