fragging purple mushrooms

i have a purple shroom that i want to frag. How do you go about doing this? Please be descriptive(cant get a pic)

do they multiply in the tank? Ive had two shrooms for almost a year now and they havnt really grown that much or multiplied, any idea why?

I have some mushrooms that seem to be multiplying weekly.

i cant get mine to at all, not sure if it water conditions or what. My nitrates a too high right now could that be why?

Im no expert but maybe you could post parameters and see if someone could help.

Nitrates-80ppm
Nitrites-0ppm
Ammonia-0ppm
Alkalinity-around 200ppm
pH-about 8.4

im no expert! but the trates seem a little high you should find out why and solve the problem. in my experience with shrooms they are tough little critters i have pretty much ripped them cut them and they will grow back. but the link in reefs post will have all the info you need to do any fragging you want!
what kind of lighting do you have?
