im currently running halides but im adding t5s to come on before them so it isnt so intense when they turn on. and they will remain on a little while after, just alot easier on the corals. and who doesnt love actinics. party.gif

forgot to mention to the upgrades a 55 gallon fuge. than existing fuge im going to turn into a frag tank.

yes i stay on craiglist watching for people to sell corals. buying them offline and at the lfs is far to exspensive.

 

i love the way the back looks except for the shading it creates because of the cross braces in the middle. if the t5s arent bright enough to take that away than im going to add another halide

check out your local reef club for good deals on corals.  just last night my buddy bought 15 raffle tickets @ $1 a piece and left with 3 decent sized (5+") sps pieces and an acro frag about 2".  also, going to frag swaps is my new thing.  i went to my first one in october and i'm hooked.  they are awesome places to get nice pieces at killer prices and also to talk with other fish geeks like ourselves.

55 gallon refugium is complete and my new octopus xp 1000 sss is here going to be setting up on sunday.
