My new Nano tank

I wanted something small to enjoy at my desk so I picked up this Fluval Edge tank.  Very modern looking.

I know this isnt the best tank for Salt but I plan to do somethings that will make it work just fine.  First order of biz it to install some led lights.  These Yellow lights are not going to cut it

I also plan to make an HOB overflow box and run a 32 gal sump hidden in a cabient next to my desk.  I dont know nano like that is but hey,  It will make filtering this thing much easyier.

This is about 18 hours after I filled it..

Congrats on the new tank.  Be careful, that's alot of weight on that little shelf!  You definitely don't want to come in to a toppled shelf and a crashed tank!

Yeah I already checked the shelf.  It is solid.

Good looking out though...

I have actually considered using one for a dwarf seahorse / pipefish display tank.  The lights are very yellow.  I haven't seen what the lights look like as they are "inside".  Are there different light bulbs that can be bought?  If not, the LED is a great idea.  I'm an idiot about that kind of thing, you'll have to do a DIY thread for dummies!

The lights are horrible.  I guess there are some led bulbs that will plug right in the existing fixture.  I am off to go see if I can track some down....
