I saw this at the LFS - Eheim 3531 090 Ehm CLNR Gravel Vac Battery Opperated - and thought that it would be a really cool toy for the tank. Its like a vacuum cleaner for the tank, runs on batteries, comes with its own filter bag. It would make gravel cleaning easier as you wouldnt be removing any water from the tank. It looks cool, but the wife and I agreed that its not $50 cool. Finding it online for $40 and I still dont think it is $40 cool. Does anyone here have one and what do you all think of this product?

Sadly ours died last week (pump malfunctioned and caught fire which had a domino effect of other water issues). He would hop along the front of our 200 gallon tank, loved to race back n forth....

Very fresh green colored Crab, but I think they bite very badly.

Picked up my CB Target Mandarin from our FedEx station this morning. To say I'm disappointed about the condition of this fish is putting it mildly. I've yet to see a fish so skinny and still...

new piece of gear?
I would leave it. I tried it on a freshwater tank and it did not work at all.

Saltwater tanks have CUCs, you don't vacuum the substrate like in a freshwater tank.
Instead opt for one of the black giant plastic scissor looking grabber things, now that will come in handy. Also the giant long eye dropper looking thing for spot feeding corals. Stuff like that will be much more useful.

It looked cool and just wanted to know what people thought about it. Its more expensive than our FW tank so no way we buying it.
I do know that I will need the grabbers as I can barely reach the bottom of the tank when its on the stand now. But that is at the front of the tank and no where near the back. The 24" high walls will be a downfall for me at some point I am sure. It is a good thing we have a little step stool. We have a turkey baster that we use whenever my wife makes awesome turkey or chicken in the bag. Maybe we need to get another one devoted to tank use?

A fish only turkey baster is a must. We should start a new thread...gadgets and what we use it for. Even a rigid plastic tube or stick like the one used as handles from blinds even come in handy.

I read somewhere that some one took the chopsticks home from a restaurant and taped them together to make a feeding stick. Go ahead and make that thread Flower.
