I need to get a RO or RODI unit but I don't know very much about them. Is RO enough or do you really need RODI? Also, how do you hook these up? I know you can get a faucet adapter but i'm not sure I want to take up a faucet with one. What are my other options? Also, will someone recommend so decent brands? Has anyone heard of Typhoon?

RO if its a FO or FOWLR but you will need to test copper to see if your invertebrates will survive
RODI if its a Reef
You will need some pluming skills so if you have none then find a source that gives good support. You use an adapter that taps in the drain line under the sink. your RO can come up through a spigot on the sink for drinking water and the RODI can come out a hose you can tuck under the sink.
Typhoon III or EXTREME TYPHOON III are good systems I would buy one and if you wanted drinking water you could add that on to the system also. Go with the standard size filters like the ones on the Typhoon they are more readily available then the new style.
