Thanks for the kind words, folks!

I'm well pleased with the progress, especially since it seems I've stumbled and fumbled throughout this endeavor.

All of you have been a tremendous help!

My stock list is now  complete, my equipment is all set, now I'm in maintenance and grow-out mode.

Thanks!

I know the least about lighting than any aspect of reefkeeping. I plug it in, it lets me see stuff.

From what I've read, I'm not supposed to be able to do what this tank has done. I have 108w of T5s on a 47g tank over 30" of water.

And I have some trouble with some coral bleaching when I clear the water too much.

3x 12000k, 2x 460nm and 1x 420nm.

I don't get it...shrug.gif

Yep, sure did... "Herb jr" or "Junior" as I call him, cameo in post 208.

Thanks Ken!!

Junior would have made a difficult wheres waldo game when he first came in, he was just a little guy, but he is growing fast and is nearly the same size as Herb was. Junior has picked out the same favorite perching spots; it is almost like Herb never left...almost...

crybaby.gifThat makes me miss mine. I know that with my upgrades, that I do not have enough algae to sustain a LMB long term.

**HAPPY SECOND BIRTHDAY**

The tank is 2 years old today!

Plus, today is a very Happy Friday, today is my last day here at

the job I've had for nearly 30 years.

I take on new challenges and opportunities Monday with a growing company

with much less stress, much more fun and much more money!

Yep, today is a good day....

Slice, all I can say is wow! I didn't pay any attention to the dates on this thread and thought I would be coming across a popular topic that had been here for a few months maybe, but imagine my surprise when I got to watch your tank grow for over a year! It's a wonderful thread, and your tank is -absolutely- breathtaking. I too spend my not so busy days at the office perusing the threads, and you've given me an inspiration to possibly start posting some images of my own after my tank gets a bit more established. ( I'm a total noob. LOL. See other posts for my lack of knowledge. ) All I have right now in the way of corals is some green star polyps. I like to call them the dandelion of the ocean. :P I think they'd grow next to a window if you pushed the curtain back. I need a serious lighting upgrade before I can start corals, and of course I need to do some serious research, but your entire set up is absolutely amazing!

Two years already?  WOW!

You changing jobs?  devil1.gif

Happy Birthday!!!

And Super congrats on the new job.  30 years working at the same place is amazing, that just does not happen much any more.  And if you are going to leave glad it is for a better job that pays much more money.  So....  When are you getting a new tank with all this new money you got??  LOL
