My shallow reef tank diary }(>')

hello to all reefers :)

for some odd reason i cant post in the nano section cause it wont open for me, so ill post my diary here :)

as some of you may know i have a 95 wave tank with 8bulb t5ho tek light with 6 koralias. but after seeing a shallow tank i fell inlove. i sent my boss on a mission to build me a 48x24x10 starphire tank :)

we finally got the glass yesterday. and cleaned it and build it. i will takes pics of the tank when we can.

what i plan on having in the tank is the following

• 1" of live sand
• 4-6 koralias around there
• OCT-NWB110 Reef Octopus 4″ Pinwheel Skimmer
• Aqueon Proflex model 2
• Phosphate reactor
• Calcium Reactor
• tek light 8bulb t5ho 

FRONT

-uv super actinic

-ati blue +

-uv super actinic

-ati blue +

-ati purple +

-ati blue +

-uv super actinic

-ati blue +

BACK

if anyone has any opinions or changes i should do please let me know :)

no i didnt actually lol, what happened is since i work with Reef Gardener she recommended me to Reef Aquarium of miami. the guy like the fact that i knew a good amount of info and hired me :) little by little i been learning tons and giving my views in the store. but he always told me that he built custom aquariums. i never believed him till he showed me some pics and must i say they were amazing! so i ask him and he said he will be gadly to do it for me since i change the store around to pick up sales. so he ordered the glass for me and it only cost me $150. and i must say this is the first time he does shallow tank or ever seen a shallow reef tank. since he only seen shallow tanks for frags. he said this is gonna be one heck of amazing build.

do you have any things you think i should change as for equipment

the fish i have in my 95g are the following

• powder blue tang
• mimic eibli tang
• orange shoulder tang
• semi-picasso clown
• true perc clown
• b&w clown
• bartlett anthias
• 3x lyretail anthias
• scooter blenny
• flame angel
• neon goby
• pistol shrimp goby combo

i would love to add all those fish to my new tank. i know the tang need the swimming space but trust me they will have it in that tank so dont be all like tang to small for tank :) let me be and i know nothing will go wrong with the tangs. those are gonna be the only big fish there.

how does it sound?

yes mom, i cant keep both tanks. and ima use the same rock of the 95 and everything from it too. :( i dont wanna give it up but i have no other choice.

i also sold the nano :(

OH MAN....I'm sorry....you just got those.....You know....some people have more then one tank...LOL....

i wonder who lol, but its hard for me especially since i wanna major in Marine Bio, its gonna be hell with all the sciences :( ill just stick to this beauty :).

we are doing the overflow in the middle :)

I know you are too busy.....and I love that tank....are you going to do a volcano too???

im thinking about it, i need many opinions on it lol
