Could be sponge......if you exposed it to air it will eventually die.....I have some blackish sponge in spots too

Thank you meowzer - I think you are right, I just found this LFS he had some pretty nice stuff almost bought a Crocea Clams but didn't know enough about them, no Deresa Clams, he had some nice maxima's

Crocea clams are rock boring clams.....same requirements as most...good lighting, calcium, water

What do you mean by rock boring - I probably saw yours but didn't know what they were.

I have been lucky with this one.....I put it in that spot and it liked itbanana.gif

 

I have only had it since September 30th......BUT it has been great
