So far i'm having good success with my mini reef that I want to get into some of the nicer looking species of coral keeping. I started out with no restrictions on hardware for my 55g. I have metal halides, I have a good protein skimmer, I have a sump and regugium, I have plenty of powerheads. With technology always advancing in this hobby I would like to know what I need to do to keep and grow SPS corals successfully. Do I need a calcium reactor? I plan on changing my bulbs this summer from 15k to 20k. My tank is a year and a half old. All parameters are ideal. Tell me about hardware and maintenance required for keeping SPS corals. Thanks in advance. ![]()
