Very interesting.  What did you make your coral food out of?  I admit I thought that Rod's Food for Corals might be an alternative.  Easier for you if he eats it, but definitely not "cheap."

went to the Asian store with the wife. got some mixed sea food, squid, clams, mussels, shrimp, scallops, and a small piece of salmon. Blended it until it turned into a paste consistancey, then added a little tank water.

Next time I am going to freeze it with some vitamins and use them as cubes. They coral loved it and like I said the pipe went nuts. oh and next time going to add some carrots and ..... well can't remember the name now, for beta caratine. Very good for corals. We'll see.

*henry..... if your peeking around the corner* your huntch was correct. Got some rotifers, one moment please............ okay, had to go check for spelling, Draco went hunting. I also took some of our own fish food mix and shredded it up fine and squrted that into the tank and he went after that too. Thanks.

I thought when you used the homemade food that you added quite a bit of tank water then let it set for several hours and sucked up the part that had separated on the top?  By doing that there were super fine particals of food added to the tank.  Also when I made the batch of seafood for the fish I added selcon to the mixture so there should be sufficient amounts of vit. c in it. shrug.gif Also we added some cyclope, rotifers, and fish roe.  That was a happy little pipefish!
