My Hermit Crabs are already streaking!

I have only had hermit crabs for a couple of days now, and i noticed that one was running around naked today already!?

Is he already due for a bigger shell?  Do pet stores sell extra shells or where do you get them?

Is there a chance he just was wanting to go for a Friday Morning naked walk or is him walking around shell less a good sign I need some spares in there?

you probably need more empty shells - it's likely another hermit pulled the one you saw running naked out of his and stole it. It's not uncommon to see, unless you have dozens of spare shells around in there for them.

Get empty shells asap, it might go after your snalis for the shell and a meal from the slug inside. I rather snalis over hermit crabs. In my experience no matter how many empty shells I had they would always go after the snails. I find that snails are more pruductive than hermits as they do a better job at keeping the algae of the rocks. I banished all my hermits to the refugem.

I got some for free this weekend from a new LFS I had yet to visit!
