Lighting - Page 2

I'm running a T-5 6 light nova extreme pro with the stock Current USA bulbs and I'm getting really decent growth on my softies, LPS and SPS.

My tank is a 120g so it's about 4" shallower than yours, but if you had the ATI bulbs in a quality fixture you could run T-5's for sure.

I've got acros, montis, stags, birdsnest, anemones all doing fine with the lighting I have.

Cool!  I looked up that fixture and the price is good.  Under $400.  Now, if you could, school me a little bit on the difference in those bulbs...  And are you getting good coraline growth on your rocks?  I am guessing you are if your sps are growing.

Oh! and say Hi the Sarah for me next time you run into her!

Actually coraline is the only thing that doesn't grow in my tank. I have a couple tiny splotches on the back glass that aren't getting any bigger, and I have a few rocks that I bought with coraline on them but it's not spreading.

I don't know how much the Tek fixtures are, but they are better than my lights. The extreme pro is a good bang for the buck, but if you need more power the ATI's come with better bulbs, better refelctors and I think are overdriven producing alot more PAR
