Sick Horse....Again :(

Well...last night was a heck of a night.....got home from work, and had no internet, and when I went to check the horses, one had bubbles on the tail again..AND one bubbled eye.

W/O internet I was panicking....luckily I have it in my phone now and was able to e-mail AnnMarie for help......THANK YOU ANNMARIE

I set up the 16G with 10g's of water from the other tank...and some new water I had making....put in the 2 airlines, took the anchor ornament from the 28G, and got out the other food bowl

then added the seahorse....then added the 1st dose of diamox......The horse is very alert and active....Looked for food too....I went to get some hose this moring thinking I would hook up the other chiller to keep it cool, BUT this morning with a fan running over the tank, the temp was at 69.....so I may be ok...I DID turn the air down in this room a couple of degrees though

SO HERE I GO AGAINbrickwall.gif....the bad thing is on Saturday I have 45+ people coming to my house, and really did not want a hospital tank set up....oh well....I am not going to rush her recovery ...company will just have to see what a hospital tank looks like...LOL..OH and what a large Brute with sw looks like too   :(

ON ANOTHER NOTE...HENRY GUESS WHAT????   I DO have 3 green banded gobies....LOL....saw all 3 last night....apparently one is a pretty good hiderlaughing.gif

Good luck with her....sounds like you caught things pretty quickly, though!  Fingers firmly crossed.

To heck with the people.  This is real life you're living.  They can learn to see what fishcare looks like "behind the scenes."  laughing.gif

Wow Meowzer, you sure are productive when you get home. Nothing like a shot of adrenaline followed by a chaser of frustration for when you get off huh? Sorry to hear about the horses. The people will see all the stuff you do for your critters and will admire you for that, I know we do. Good luck.

LOL...Thanks Kief...it helps to keep 10-12g's of ro/di made up at all times.....and to have the equipment  necessary handy....After my last bout with this, I kept the airline conmtraptions made up JIC, and made sure the 16G was cleaned well too....

I HATE when stuff like this happens after work, BUT.....you know the saying   sh** happens and never at the right time...CUZ THERE IS NO RIGHT TIME  LOL

Ran into Walmart, and was very happy that they had another one of those anchor ornaments that the horses love so much....I had to take the one out of the 28g to put in the hospital tank.....so now I can put this one in the 28G

I also bought a pineapple looking thingy that has little holes (window like) things in it and a couple of places the horse can hitch, and I will put this in the hospital...I will take a pic of it tonight

Hmmm, I wonder if she injured it?  The one bad eye I have seen, which was thought to be a massive systemic infection and involved both eyes, the entire structure was swollen and distorted.  Maybe you caught it early, but it looks to only involved the base of the eye, not the eye itself.

YES Julie....you can tell better in the first pic.....the "bubble" is not over the whole eye....I have no clue what that means, BUT she does have the bubbles on the tail too

SHe had treatment 2 tonight.....the tail looks a teeny bit better.hahrd to tell cause she is wrapped so tight on the anchor....the eye seems the same....she is very alert, and eating great...which I think is a +

Fingers crossed for her!

Ditto. Toes too, which is quite painful I might add. Worth it if she pulls thru. ;-)
