Hairy mushroom killed galaxea!

I have this great neon green hairy mushroom. I believe it's a rodactis (sp). The mushroom split and now there are two of them! I had a piece of galaxea close by and the mushroom seems to be smothering it! I'm pretty happy about since I wanted that piece of galaxea gone, but it had attached itself to the rock. I just thought the galaxea would have harmed the mushroom, not the other way around!! Is this normal?

Yep..."water warfare" (alellopathy) at its finest.  Rhodactis are pretty tuff.

I had a small (1 inch) galexea fall of the rock it was on and land upside down on an elephant ear mushroom.  I found it the next morning and put it back where it was supposed to be.  I almost lost the galexea.  Only one or two heads lived, the rest died that night.  I was really surprised.
