ID please

So I was given this plant, and I'm not sure what it is... My powder brown kept eating it so I put it im my fuge until I know what it is. Any ideas? The picture is kind of terrible, I only have my cell phone. Its a brownish red color, with larger leafs.

It looks like kelp

As Tommie-Lynn said, it's likely kelp, but there's not enuff detail in the pic to hazard a guess as to which one.
