his pouch is full of air do you know how to get it out

I'm not sure I can post the link here, but I'll send you a PM.  This could be a sign if a larger problem.  After you do this watch him, if it happens again or if he stops eating you will need to try medicine

make sure you have a hitch up high he can grab onto.

Google Pouch evac. I have done it, its not hard, just a little scary since you dont want to hurt him. what I did was gentle grab him under water and used a bobby pin to gently open hi pouch a little and squeeze the air out.'

Watch him though, you may need to do a diomox treatment on him. I may have  a couple if you need them, I will have to look.

done the pouch evac but now he has bubble in his tail and i dont know where to the meds for that

You will need to call you vet.  The meds for that are prescription.  It's called diamox.  If you search the sight that I sent you on pouch evacuation the dosage is on there.  I don't have time to look right now, I'm headed to work.  There is good info on gas bubble disease there.  Hopefully someone will be along here soon

Diamox is not a pet med...it's a people med, so your  vet will not have it....I went thru this....

You need to get your SH into a hospital tank asap......set it up with your exisiting tank water, no filter, but light movement....2 bubblers would be good for it too

Let me find my thread where my horse had GBD....you can read that

read this.....I have had to do this twice, and both times the SH was fully cured after 5 days

this should also help you with the set up....and go with 10G...that is best for the meds
