Sorry, I'm new here but not new to Saltwater aquariums. Out of curiosity, did you have to reinforce your floor any when installing your 400gl? Any regrets going that big? I was going to upgrade my tank to a 220gl and an opportunity came up to upgrade to a 400. I apologize if this isn't the place to ask. Thank you.

Tiffany lives in Arizona, we don't have basements out here, they pour a concrete foundation right on the dirt then build a house on it.

I know the foundation on my house is 6 inches thick...

Well...that answers that. Thank you. We don't have it as easy here in IL. lol

Nicely done. Livestock looks fantastic.

Just make sure if you soak the food in garlic it's not the bottled garlic juice that you can get at pet stores. I hear it's not even effective or worth bothering with. I soak all my food in fresh garlic juice.

Really? So your saying that using Garlic guard is useless? I soak my fish food in garlic guard once or twice a week in an attempt to keep their immune system boosted. Owner of the LFS said it's a good thing to do.

Garlic is fine to get a picky eater to eat but there is absolutely no evidence that bottled garlic extracts can boost a fish's immune system.

None.

If you want to get a fish to eat more then crushing your own fresh garlic is far better than anything that's been sitting on a shelf for weeks that's loaded with preservatives.

yes,.... I crush a clove and get all the skin of and make little slits in the clove and put it in the food.

Yeah, it basically is. Over time it basically breaks down in the bottle and becomes a lot weaker than actual fresh garlic would be.
