skunk shrimp?

Right now I have 2 skunk shrimp, and I was under the impression that they were best in pairs. A friend of mine wanted to do a swap with me and take one of my skunks....should I keep them paired, or would it be okay to separate them?

Pairs are great, but your tank can do with one just fine.

ok thanks :) strapped for $$ but would love a new addition, so this will work out nicely.
