I'm pondering my 24 gallon nanocube and what direction I want to take it in. I have a pistol shrimp that has absolutely made a mess out of my sand bed. In some places there is no sand and in some places it it over 8 inches high, and no point fixing it, it will be exactly the same the next day. So I was wondering, if I made a tunnel system out of PVC pipe and tried to set the rocks and sand were there was no way he could dig under them, do you think he would use the homemade tunnels? I don't want to get rid of him, and probably won't but I'm not a big fan of how lopsided my tank looks. I'm just kind of at a loss, because I can't really keep corals right now due to all the sand issues and my 2 clowns won't allow any other fish.

Try it and see. If you have success, write an article!
If you don't have success... change it. lol. You are God to your tanks creatures. If you don't like something, then modify it, change it, throw it out, buy a new one, take it back, whatever it takes to make YOU happy with your tank.

he'd probably use the tunnels but he still may dig some.
