Atelomycterus macleayi

so where can I buy one?

is 1.20-1.7 mm sand fine enough for a shark?

Google

"Atelomycterus macleayi for sale"

the first result should help you.

No, you would want a .25-.5 mm grain sand if you want to keep a shark.

And then switching substrates is  a challenge on it's own.

thank you so much. I would also like to have some colorful fish in the tank any suggestions?

In a 300g, you could have a panther grouper. Not sure how it would do with the tang though.

If you would want to go more for more of an aggressive or predator tank,

I would bring the powder blue tang to the LFS.

Then, fish choices include

-Panther Grouper

-Marbled Catshark

-Volitans Lionfish

That's just a list to get you started. There are many more choices

If you wanted a more peaceful community tank, you would definitely have to leave out the catshark and instead look at

-Tangs

-Angelfish

As I said, those are lists to get you started. There are a lot more possibilities out there.

I looked at aquaticaonline and they dont have any in stock

Oh sorry.. there might be some other places... I'm just not sure.

It's not a really common fish so not many places carry it...

I wish I could help more...

maybe you could go to your LFS and ask if you could order one?
