Thank you, Luvmyreef. It a tank that's been on my mind for 16 years (sitting empty in my garage) and operational for 6 years. I have taken my time finding the best looking fish (and healthy) had some set backs but know its on the right track. One more fish (Koran Angel) and more rock work and it will be complete.

Nice tangs i love purple tangs. Also something to say. Do you think a fish that grows to around 8 inches in captivity and needs a lot of swimming room should be confined to a 70 gallon tank?

Rainbow I know you are in a different time zone aren't you 8 hours ahead of central time? So it was 4pm when I posted that would put you at midnight your time.

"Do you think a fish that grows to around 8 inches in captivity and needs a lot of swimming room should be confined to a 70 gallon tank?" My answer is no.

So have i.(seen a lot worse) because what this is about.

That mimic tang in the photo came from a 52 gallon cube with a gramma loreto and two perc clowns! OMG i couldn't believe it.

Also most people think 70 gallons is o.k for a mimic tang.

Here's the tangs in the 475:

A 9+" blonde naso, 6" purple, 6" Orange shoulder, and 5" achillies.  The orange shoulder is still a baby and is just beginning to darken (grey) in the face. But he's still in juvinle colors (2 tone tellow). There's also a 7" hippo tang in here too.

a 7" Powder Blue (same tank but older picture)

Thanks Slice!  A local reefer came over last week to check out the tank and gave me the best comment. He said " wow - I've never seen tangs large & healthy enough to fillet!"  lol.....the naso espically would make a pair of nice fillets - he's almost 1.5" thick......hmmm.....wonder how he'd taste....Nah - he's too pretty to eat.
