What type of algae is this?

Sorry if i'm not posting this in the right forum but I was wondering what type of algae is growing on my frag tray? is it harmful and have a specific cause? any input would be great..thanks :)

Looks a lot like Coralline Algae.

awesome...good stuff, was hoping it was that but wasn't sure...coralline algae comes in all colors right? red, purple, green

in addition to yellow, hot pink, white, black, even blue.

I have always been confused on coralline algae...what does it do to your tank other than add color? and is it ever harmful? (I realize the second question may be a stupid on but i figured i'd ask)

Other than add to a more natural look to a tank it takes up the real estate and makes it difficult for nuisance algae to take hold.
