I have a 55 gal aquarium and want maroon clowns. What is the chances of keeping 2 if I add them together? Should I just keep 1? What are yall thoughts?

Are you sure that you want to have maroon clowns in your tank?? They can and will dictate what you can have in your tank from fish to corals to your hand. These guys are nasty. What are fish are in the tank? Any way, it would be best to add them together with one that is larger than the other. If they are the same size, they might fight each other (sometimes to the death) to assert dominance so the other will be the submissive one.

Depends on your current stock list and your future plans for the tank. Give us some more details!

i have a maroon clown ive had her for 3 years now and she is not nasty. she just chills in her bubble coral. on friday i added a small maroon clown that went straight to her and the coral. he just twitched a little when she went up to him and that was that. they are both happy in the bubble with no problems. i guess im just lucky

Agree with the other members. In one of my tanks I have a 5 inch female...she killed her first mate for not taking care of the eggs. Her new mate of 2 years now takes care of the eggs. They will chase the other fishes away and love anemones literally to death...not to mention blood is drawn every time   I clean the tank. Mean suckers for sure.
