I dumped the carbon in my filter out, yet my filter is all brown(the medicine) So is my filter cathcing all the medicine or it just turned it???

Are you talking about the filter cartridges?  If so, you are supposed to replace those with new ones.  If you are talking about the actual filter housing did you wash it?  Filters commonly get algae and diatoms which are brown.

I am talking about the cartridge. It is brown with the medicine. I know its the meduicine b/c the filter smells like it. Is the filter retaining all the medicine?

Are you asking me or telling me? Oh. btw I have only had the cartridge in for 2 weeks this monday will be 3. Do you just have to change the filter more often when dealing with ich?

No, when using meds, and the treatment is completed, then that is a good time to change the filter.  That filter should probably be changed every 3-4 weeks.
