Help with ID something on my fish...Thought its ick...not sure tho!

so I have been doing hypo on my 3 fish, 2 clowns and 1 yellow fin angel in my qt for 3 weeks exactly. the salinity is at 1.010 measured with a refractometer. When I put them in the qt, the angel had lots of white, but really small spots all over him and one white thing next to his gill. the white spots went away after about 4 days in hypo treatment but the white thing is not going away. Not sure what it is. How long does it usually take for ick (if thats the case) to go away from a fish??

I couldn't take a picture of it because he is very camera shy, so I took a video. there are a few moments in the video where the spot is clearly visible. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Lymphocyctis.  Also, hypo is 1.009.

You can still continue to treat for ich, since you originally thought that you saw it. A full hypo treatment should be 6-8 weeks.

As for the lymphocystis (lympho), you can't treat it. But the good news is, it's really nothing to much to worry about. As long as the fish stays healthy, isn't stressed and fed well, it's not an issue. It's a virus, sort of like when people get a cold sore. You'll see it pop up from time to time, sometimes this can be the sign that something is going awry in the tank. My tail spot blenny has had lympho for years. It will usually flare up if I've had my hands in the tank a lot and he gets stressed. Good foods, good water quality and vitamins are all he needs and after a few days the spot disappears.
