Flame Angels are so beautiful and colorful. I love saltwater there is so much more variety in color! Congrats on the new fish. Where are you that you have to pay 150. for a yellow tang? I thought we had it bad in Alaska. They run $65 -$70 here in Anchorage.

Sorry, but she was flitting around too fast for a decent shot. I will try for more/better pics later. She looks good, normal breathing, picking at crap on the glass and pipes, curious about everything in the QT.

she looks like....well....like a flame angellaughing.gif

He looks very nice!

Yay! The flame looks good from what I see.

Looking good! How big is he or she? Mine was so tiny when I got it. He eats like pig, and is growing like a weed LOL. Goodluck with it Slice. It will make a wonderful addition to your beautiful tank. thumbsup.gif

Thanks all!

It is nearly 2", just a tad smaller than the DOA one.

I'm glad it is not any smaller.

I must get it comfortable, well fed and ready to have tense conversation with the RG in about a month.

Is he still doing good today? Hope so....

Thank you for asking Luv, I appreciate that.

Yep, she is doing fine, ate a few Mysis the past 2 evenings. She (and I know it is a "she" because her name is Fifi laughing.gif ) roams around picking at everything.

She continues to look good, no sign of ich or anything, good color, normal breathing, etc.

I am having a small ammonia spike even though the tank has been up and running for a couple of months and has been ghost fed all the while (there is also a hermit crab in there). I did a partial W/C last night and will be doing a large W/C this weekend. I've been adding Prime along with changes.

So far, so good....

Hey Luv!

I appreciate you keeping me in mind, but there is a reason I've been quiet about the fish.

A week ago last Sunday, the fish was doing very well in the morning, swimming around, picking at everything. For the previous few days, it had been eating mysis, raw shrimp and emerald cuisine. At no time did the fish show any signs of distress or infection. I spent much of that day doing chores so it was several hours later that evening when I checked the QT again to find the fish lifeless on the bottom. Water params at that time was zero ammo and trites, ~15 trates, pH ~8.0, 78* temp, good water flow/agitation, yada, yada...

Thanks for asking.

-wife says she will order one from our LFS and let them QT it.

I am so sorry to hear this   :(

Oh no. I am so sorry. I figured it was already in your display. I hope you can find a nice healthy one in the future.

Thanks to you both.

I blame the Dottie, the Diva RG, for conjuring some type of hex. She did seem particularly happy that day, pointing and laughing.

Next time we QT off site so she can't see it coming.

On the other hand, the DT is doing great! I owe new addition pics...

saddy.gifI'm sorry to hear that. I have heard that flames are sometimes a tough species to keep. I think a lot has to do with the way they are collected in the wild. Many just don't do well with this.

Awww Al... sorry about it :(

Probably because of the cyanide.
