Hello, Im not sure what this is. Just showed up one day. I thought it was a sponge but it flattens out when the lights are on but in the dark sucks in and gets a little taller plus it has a mouth. Anyone know what it is?

It may be a plate coral, they grow from stems attached to rocks spot feed it like polyps, if it either or they both need to be spot fed. I have one that came attached to a mushroom rock that the LFS thought it was a anemone, so I fed it like one. One day while cleaning the glass I hit it and it popped off (thought I killed it) but not only did it live but another one started to grow from the same spot. To date 8 have grown and the single spot is now producing 2 more. Enjoy

Thanks guys but it doesnt look like my other mushrooms, this one is about the size of a quarter maybe just a little bigger. when it stands up it is mostly roundish but the same thickness at the base as at the top. very tubish. It also has small tentacles all the way around it. Finally when it is squashed down it varies in shape. sometimes it is roundish others it is almost like a square or a diamond. I wish I had a submersible camera so i could get right up on it.

It's definately a bleached mushroom.  I don't know what type.  Almost looks like a Ricordea yuma.  Once it gets some zooxanthellae regrown it will be easier to ID.
