Hammer and torch

post #1 of 9
Thread Starter

I have 2 hammer corals and 2 torch corals in my tank

2 of the hammers and 1 of the torch tenticles are longer then the other tenticles and are more clear in colour (some are nearly invisible), i can take pics if needed, just wondering if they are dying or just discharging or something? the rest of the tenticles are still extending and looking good

i have recently had problem with ammonia but its been fine for about 3-4 weeks now

they arent touching any other corals and arent being hosted.

ammonia,nitrate,nitrite =0

ph  = 8.4

temp - 27degrees celcius

calciums is around 400 (dosed weekly)

i feed them marine snow once a week

waterflow is 12000 lph, i have 2 wavemakers but only have 1 turned on.as it seems to push my fish to much (and into the overflow -.-)

6ft tall 240 gal

return pump 5klph

fish are - blue tang, flame angel, bi colour blenny, green coral gob,y 2 percula clown fish, 2 black and white Ocellaris clown fish (does not host these corals)

inverts - snails, hermit crabs, blue linka starfish and a red starfish

plus 1 more. How close are they to each other? They seem to be able to at least smell each other.

My hammer catches wind of my candy cane from time to time and sweeps around.

one hammer is close (not close enough to touch) to my other torch which my clown is hosting (this one hasnt got the really long tenticles) all the rest are close to other corals, but as again not close enough to touch
