Can you guys ID this algae?

Hi...At first I thought it was cyano because it was red splotches, but it isn't. Its like a hard scale and it builds up like scales. Looks like little mushrooms from the top. It could be a type of Coraline but this tank is way too new for coraline algae, so I assume it's a macroalgae.

Thanks for any help...

Awesome link...it does kind of look like the Mesophyllum mesomorphum ...but that is a coraline and it builds from the bottom, I have that type in the 90g. but this is small little scales. It starts out in a red splotch like it is cyano and then little scales grow out from it...the second picture really shows it good.

It's a type of coralline algae. I quite desired type. I paid a lot of money to get some and my darn tang ripped it apart :-(

I looked it up...it says its soft like jello and this stuff is like a scale or fingernail for hardness, maybe after it grows a bit...

BTLDref, it doesn't look like the scale coraline I have in the 90g...that builds but has white edges, which is why you can see the layers.

I will wait a few weeks and repost maybe it's just too small to ID yet. Whatever it is, it's invasive because it's all over the tank. I really don't mind since I don't have any coral and the SHs don't care...it's a pretty red...maybe my horses will change to a red color
