whys my red legged hermit acting weird ????

i have just started and have 3 turbo snails one blue leged hermit and 3 red legd hermit they all seem fine apart from one of my red leged hermit is rearing up agaisnt my tank n trying reallllliii hard to get his shell off and he's climbing all the way to the top of my tank on the glass then jumping off is he trying to kill him self ??? is he stuck in his shell ?? what do i do ? is this normal ? ive put some diffrent size empty shells in there too incase he trys killing for a shell but its like hes stuck ???? thanks

He's just a dumb, bored hermit crab who found something that he thinks is fun to do.

I used to have a large blue legged that would climb my corner seams, reach the top, and let go and fall all the way back down. He'd repeat this for hours on end.

Think of it like hermit acrobatics... or a roller coaster ride. Fish/inverts get bored just like people do.
