Favia puffing up, why does this happen?

Its either a favia or a favates, i really dont know the difference... it does not have the hard bony skeleton like some do, its more a blanket of flat red and green eyes. Anyway, sometimes it puffs up, is this normal or is it bad? It almost looks like little pillows when its puffed up

I'm not sure about your coral specifically since I don't own one, but some of my corals do this as well from time to time. I think its just a normal part of their digestive process. Either that or maybe its trying to go to war with another coral if you put it really close to one?

Oh and BTW I think being puffed up is a good thing... its being shriveled up and not opening is what I'd worry about.

That makes sense lol, puffing prolly would be better than not, it probably is doing something. Its not particularly close to anything other than some brown polyps but even those are like 4-5" away (will move when favia gets bigger, only about 8 eyes at the moment, jus a lil guy)
