Fixing tank back up - Page 3

If you just dumped the salt into the water and relied on the pump to mix it then that could be the problem.  Salk should be vigerously mixed while slowly pouring it into the water.  It needs to be dissolved as fast as possible into COLD water.

i do  not heat the water until i added my preset amount i have set for the amount of water i have..

but i did have the bucket full of water when i added the 13-14 cups of salt. and i did add it all at once.

is it best to add a few cups ever half hour? instead of all at once.

No need for that, just be sure to stir the water as you pour the salt and pour the salt slowly.
