New toadstool. Is it ok?

Hey guys so I recently picked up a toadstool. It looked great at the store and looked great for 3 days in my tank. Now it looks like this. Is it just shedding its skin? Water tests fine on api test kit and all my other corals are great!

Corals that are doing great

Dragon eye zoas

pink polyps

hammer corals

xenia

kenya tree

duncans

shrooms

Here is a picture from yesterday

On the other hand I did notice that there is another toadstool growing on the rock it came on! Woohoo

Any help would be great.

Looks like it's waxing - getting used to your aquarium water and shedding the outside layer of "skin."

With leathers, its important to check their stems and make sure they aren't mushy. If it starts to completely melt - then you got a problem.

It just has it's polyps closed for now. It may take a few hours, a few days or up to a couple of weeks to come back out again. A little extra gentle flow will usually help speed up the process.

Nothing to worry about.... (yet) lol
