hi everyone... i recently saw that my clownfish had popeye and i put him in the qt... i went out and bought some maracyn two.. but this is little packets with powder form... it says for all freshwater fish... it doesent say anything about saltwater fish... does anyone know if it is ok to use?

It is the same medication as the SW variety, however, it is a weaker dose, and it does not contain some of the beneficial vitamins that the saltwater variety has.

I believe what you have contains 10 mg minocycline.  The dose for treating saltwater fish is 20 mg of minocycline.

Yes, double the dose.  Also, before each redose, do a small water change.

Be sure that there is a good deal of circulation going in the QT.  The cloudy is likely biofilter dieoff from the med.  Is your QT well cycled?

yes, it has been cycled for a while now... do u think the cloudy water could be bad? is there any bio filter still going on or does everything die with this med?

Test the water, that will tell you.
