green alge was not shure on where to post this thread :/

hi all ive had my tank up for atleased 2 months now the first month i had a brownish alge but now im getting a green alge is this bad? or is it a good indication of a cycled tank? and how do i get rid of this? or should it run its course and i cannot shut the light off bc of my anemone shrug.gif please help lol

1. It was way too early to put an anemone in a 2 month old tank.

 

2. All algae is caused by two major things: lights and nutrients. Limit light or limit nutrients and it will go away.

Anemones have a 90% chance of dying in the first year. If your tank is less than a year old, it's more like 95%. I wish you the best of luck, and if any of those articles can not answer your questions, please feel free to private message me.

ik it was too early hopefully it pulls through its being hosted n all its eating too but idk i just hope it pulls through but like you were saying this could be bc high nitrate and nitrite levels? and by nutrients u mean food? thanks for the support
