I have a Remora Aqua C Protein Skimmer which I purchased used from another hobbyist. The first night of setting it up the overflow container filled up several time rather quickly. after 24 hours it stopped filling up, but I also noticed that it is producing a tremendous amount of microbubbles. Should this be happening at all?

I have a Remora Aqua C Protein Skimmer which I purchased used from another hobbyist. The first night of setting it up the overflow container filled up several time rather quickly. after 24 hours it stopped filling there is a rubber band that you can move up and down you'll just need to move it around to find the best spot up, but I also noticed that it is producing a tremendous amount of microbubbles. Should this be happening at all? No, since you bought it new go on line to see what the interior should look like, you maybe missing a interior baffle.
I purchased it from a hobbyist and he and the manual says that it will take 1-2 weeks before the micro-bubbles would dissipate. I am just trying to make certain that I did not purchase a dud! Thanks.
