What would happen if my green bubble coral touched a huge mushroom in my tank?

Nothing until the lights go out...the bubble coral will sense danger because another coral is near and it will send out it's stinger cells on a thread and zap it until it shrivels up and dies.

It was shrivels up and the base was reallly small.. so ripped it off and up it on my sand bed?? I think it just happend because my atinic lights are on.
